about

Téfra comes from the Greek τέφρᾱ which means "ashes" as the materia expelled by a volcano. This word related to the Indo European root *dhegwh- (burn - heat), is also present in the Latin fovere (burn - heat) from which it comes the Spanish for fever: Fiebre, febril y favonio.
